Our Prayer Festival which took place between Ascension Day and Pentecost encouraged many prayers. 250 colourful ribbons were attached to the church railings expressing prayers of thanks , happiness , concern or asking for guidance. 45 hearts were hung on the tree remembering loved ones. 40 pebbles were placed in a bowl to let go of burdens and ask for God’s help and 45 candles were lit and placed on the world map to pray for many places in the world where there is conflict and distress. Perhaps the most fun was to be able to write a prayer on one of the church walls! We were able to meet and pray for every member of our church family by name and to pray for the many activities that take place on our church premises.
We pray it was a time of blessing for all who took part and we will keep praying.
