Community Groups
We are a community of people who want to learn more about being disciples of Jesus and who seek to serve our local community.These groups are supported by our Community Engagement Officer, Jane. Please feel free to contact Jane for further information about the groups here at our church. She works part time but will get back to you when she is available.
Tuesday Talkie
A small selection of dementia friendly films to choose from on the second Tuesday of the moth at 2pm. Films will be shown with subtitles, lighting will be kept low and volume reduced. Wheelchair accessible. For more information contact Sandra 07966 171 261
Woolly Wednesdays
Woolly Wednesdays meets the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month, 1.30-3.30pm in our main hall. This group is for knitting, crocheting and other crafts over hot drinks and biscuits.
Friends Together
Friends Together meets the 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month, 10am-2pm in our main hall. This group is open for anyone in the community old or young. We have games, crafts and lunch together which includes beans or scrambled egg on toast.
Meeting Point
Meeting Point runs every Wednesday, 10am-12pm in our main hall. This group is for those who have retired.

Singing Together
Singing Together meets every Thursday during term time, 2.30-4pm. This is a fun choir for all abilities.
Bridgford Methodist Walkers
A walking group that meets on the third Saturday of the month. Walks are typically 5-6 miles, and if travelling is required transport is shared where possible. The walks usually end up at a pub cafe so a drink and light lunch can be enjoyed together. This group isn’t just for churchgoers but anyone who would enjoy a walk in company.
Coffee and Chat
This is a group for women who wish to meet for a short walk and a coffee. Sometimes there is a Bible study or a joint activity at church. This group meets fortnightly in term time on a Tuesday morning.

Memory Lane Cafe
Memory Lane Café meets on the 1st Monday of the month, 2-4pm in our main hall. This group is for those experiencing memory loss and dementia, and for loved ones and carers also.
A warm and friendly welcome awaits those who are experiencing memory problems or dementia, together with their loved ones, friends or carers. Join us for reminiscence activities, afternoon tea, music and chatting with friends.
The café is a joint project by the Rotary Club of West Bridgford and West Bridgford Methodist Church.
